The vampire, drawing from the primal urge to feed in it's heart, denies it by wielding an intermediary weapon. That urge, denied of it's sustenance, empowers the vampire to unforeseen heights as it's body desperately strains for it's meal.
A vampire who fights with melee weapons is far more dangerous than a vampire who fights with their fangs alone. The latter fights to feed and sustain itself, while the former fights simply to kill.
It is the use of this technique that divides the garden-variety vampire from the true beasts.

Typically guns made before the 19th century and therefore no semi-automatics, etc. This does not include sniper rifles which while made before the 19th century, didn't gain popularity until after the 19th century during WW1. So no, sniper rifles are not a cowboy gun.

Driving rugged vehicles in a combat situation is second nature to the Soldier. They measure their shots and navigate obstacles with a subtle timing that doesn't affect the steadiness of their own or their passengers' weapons. Firing a few shots through the windshield or window while performing dangerous driving maneuvers is also no problem.

Standard issue in the Future Soldier's home time, the Personal Shield Generator (PSG) projects a protective energy barrier around the body. It absorbs damage far better than traditional armor, but its battery is quickly drained. When depleted, the PSG must spend a few seconds recharging.

Your Armor cannot be destroyed, and it always provides a minimum of 2 Armor regardless of any Armor shredding or penetration. It cannot be circumvented with Called Shots. When shredded, it returns to full potency in one hour.
Any time your Armor prevents Damage, your Armor rating is temporarily decreased by 2. Whenever it goes five Rounds without preventing any Damage, it is restored back to its full value.
