Requires Seasoned
You possess superhuman senses and awareness.
Used by Luci Alessi, Created by Riley.
( )

Luci's sight was her first gift she received even from before the Contracts. A wandering entity- an Eidolon of the Well- saw something that they wanted from Luci when she was young. But due to some sort of disaster, the process failed and Luci stayed in control while the Eidolon became a prisoner within her.

Over the course of her contracting career, Luci has been able to tap into more of her abilities, but this was the first. Blessed eyes manifested alongside a tattoo that carried over from the Eidolon. With it, the world can seemingly bend to her will. It can slow down when she wants and it can illuminate the world in its barest forms if she so wills.

  • Sherlock: The amount of information received is limited at the GM's discretion but should at least contain some information that would not be learned from a mundane investigation.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Community Power Gifts

Spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien door, container, knot, or lock within arm's reach.

You may lock, unlock, and/or open your target.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Bane: (Electricity) Because of the nanites installed... ((All Damage you take from your weakness is increased by 2 and ignores any non-material Armor you have)).

  • Operating some locking mechanisms through this Effect may have a secondary effect, such as a turn-key ignition on an older or cheaper car causing it to start or stop. Note that the locking mechanism itself must satisfy the standard targeting requirements (including line of sight), not just the vehicle.
  • Any mechanism that requires a key, keycard, key fob, or combination may be considered locked, at the GM's discretion. This Effect may be used on doors and containers secured with control panels or other electronic locks, but not computer security systems at large.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

On the name:
Originally Cassiopeia wanted to call this gift “Loki’s Middle Finger” but she figures it’d be too inappropriate, especially if she happens to work with a 16 year old again. It would be hilarious if the gesture for this gift’s activation was just Cassiopeia flipping the bird. The new name has a lot of L’s; surely no one would notice if you took one.

On Loki:
Cassiopeia usually focuses on Greek mythology (where all the gay people are), but that doesn’t make other areas any less interesting to study. If she were a god, she too would spend her days doing silly things simply because she’d be bored out of her mind otherwise.

On usage:
She’s not sure what she wants to use this for yet, but eventually she’ll be able to make fake ID cards or "valuable" items. Hopefully. On paper it sounded very cool, but it also banks on her creativity as always.

On sound and smell:
[Insert toilet joke here] But in all seriousness, it would be useful to disguise something in order to conceal it. She just hopes she won’t forget what she puts this illusion on; it would be a shame if she turned her necklace into grass and lost it in the backyard.

Spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Choose an illusion to generate, which can be no larger than a coffee mug.

The chosen illusion is generated at your target, and it will remain in place as long as you maintain Concentration or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their taste, touch, hearing, smell, and sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You cannot make an exact replica of an existing Animate being or Object.

Anyone who struggles against the illusion hard enough to break a window or who would be damaged by the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion and can choose to perceive it or not at will.

The illusion will remain fixed to its initial target, and can only change locations if the initial target is mobile in some way. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.

Any illusion made to disguise an Object as a different Object with a similar size and shape last a minimum of one day and can only be broken by a scientific analysis, investigative Effects, or witnessing the object being used in an inconsistent way.

This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.

After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Skeletons in the Closet: Whenever someone asks or pries into your upbringings or any secrets you have, roll Self-Control to avoid going into fight-or-flight mode. Exert your mind if you fail, in order to tell your secret.

  • You must retain Concentration to keep up the effect; if your Concentration is interrupted, the effect will end.
  • while you can use an illusion to obscure something smaller, you cannot make anything directly invisible (you can’t make a tank look like a regular baseball, but you can hide it in an illusion of a giant baseball).
  • You may only puppeteer a single illusion at once.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Perception rating is increased by 0. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Perception (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: You must roll self control anytime you wish to care about someone(be their friend or save them etc).

You also gain the following effects:

  • Clear-Sighted: If you see an illusion, disguise, or other false reality, you recognize it as such but cannot immediately see through it.
  • Sherlock: You may Exert your Mind to deduce the originating chain of events that led to a particular detail of an individual or environment. This Effect reveals information that is not discoverable by a mundane investigation. You may not use this Effect on the same target more than once in a 24 hour period.

  • Sherlock: The amount of information received is limited at the GM's discretion but should at least contain some information that would not be learned from a mundane investigation.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use Gungnir to activate this Effect.

You transform into the demonic aspect of balance, Baphomet for 30 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are the demonic aspect of balance, Baphomet, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.

While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 2. Your Stress is reduced by 2.

Your body is adapted to climbing. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to climbing.

You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see take on the aspect of a demon with burning eyes and a pentagram which bleeds burning blood on its forehead.

If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • The sacrificial Injury received from activating this Effect cannot be prevented by any means or healed before 1 day has passed. It is shared with all Effects that use sacrifice. This Injury does not requires Stabilization or cause Battle Scars when it becomes Severe.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0.

Stress from Injuries acts as a dice bonus instead of penalty.

Stock Power Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you are submerged in water.

You no longer require any food, water, or air in order to survive. You no longer age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement automatically succeeds.

You may spend one minute entering a state of hibernation, during which you are inanimate and unaffected by any requirements for life. You may still perceive the outside world and may spend 3 Rounds "waking up" to end it.

  • In lieu of sleeping, once per day you may spend one hour meditating to recover a Mind Damage.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien, Non-Sapient, Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is undead.

For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.

Your commands must be relatively simple and within the target’s intellectual grasp. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.

  • Your commands must be directly communicated to your target in some way, though this does not require a shared language.
  • If targeting a Sapient target that counts as a Creature due to an Effect, you must succeed a contested Mind roll. You roll at Difficulty 6, and the target rolls at Difficulty 8.
  • Targets with Body ratings higher than 10 require a Charisma + Animals roll resisted by the target’s Body. Kaiju and environment-scale targets are immune.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.

If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this damage.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a object that uses electricity within 20 feet no larger than a duffel bag (35 liters). You must actively and obviously use a smart watch to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Technology Difficulty 6.

If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.

When a target is destroyed, it sends shards flying. Anyone within 5 feet of the object rolls 4d10 at Difficulty 6 and takes damage equal to the Outcome. Can be reacted to.

  • The penalty from an object being damaged will stack with itself if a target is hit multiple times, but the object is destroyed when it reaches a total penalty of -4.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch to activate this Effect.

Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.

Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).

  • The time reduction on non-Movement Actions applies only to the parts of actions when your personal speed is a factor,: pouring water or smoking a steak are not affected, but constructing a shelter or picking a lock would be. The GM will determine how much the total time is reduced based on how relevant personal speed is to the task.
  • Any Encumbrance penalty to your movement still applies, but you do not suffer from any sort of exhaustion.
  • Damage from a collision depends on your speed at the time, as well as what you hit. GM's discretion, but generally moving faster than a car on the freeway and hitting a dense, solid object like a wall or a tree should be lethal. Mundane armor will not apply, but any supernatural forms of protection will.
