Description

Strabo (64 B.C. to 24 A.D.) was a Greek geographer most known for his 17 volumes of Geographica, a series of books that detailed specific areas and information surrounding them. An "18th" volume was found but quickly ignored as it was untitled and blank, containing only Strabo's signature. Aurora located it in another haul she had gathered, interested in exactly why this blank book was signed by Strabo himself when she unlocked it's power. When concentrating on the book she is able to activate it, after a minute of studying the nearby surroundings the book will fill two of the blank pages. One page shows a rough sketch of the area with the location of exactly where creatures live in the area. One the second page it lists the source of any supernatural energy and presence of supernatural effects while also bullet pointing exactly what creatures live in the area.

System

Exert your Mind, and spend 1 Minute studying the area around a Location within 100 feet. At the end of the cast time, roll Brawn + Alertness Difficulty 6. The quality of the information you receive depends on your outcome, and the nature of the information depends on the Enhancements you have chosen.

The number of information-revealing Enhancements attached to this power is limited to 2 for Novice characters, 4 for Seasoned characters, and 7 for Veteran characters. You may still take any number of other, non-informational enhancements.

Enhancements

  • Concealed (Using this Effect is not obvious. Choose a Tell that occurs only when you use the Effect; if-- and only if-- someone suspects that a Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.)

    • Tell - reading a blank book

  • Ley Lines (You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.)
  • Census (You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.)

Drawbacks

  • Unique Focus (This Power takes the form of a specific, unique item, which can be borrowed, lost, or stolen. You must use / wear this item as intended to use this Power.)
