Legacy Power: High-Energy Laceration and Injury Apparatus (HELIA) Glasses
Glasses that, at the expense of one's life force, will yield helpful benefits

Description
This power is a combined product of Maximilian's genius handicraft and the knowledge bestowed upon him through the Harbinger, manifested as an unassuming pair of glasses. When worn, through the eyes, the glasses are able to form a connection to the wearer's brain. This, in turn, allows the wearer to control and sacrifice a portion of their emotional stability in order to drain an opponent of their life force. While using this power, the wearer's pupils will dilate and eyes will turn bloodshot, and the user will outstrech a finger pointing at a creature in range. The creature targeted then feels a sharp sudden piercing sensation in their body, and its body will react to it as such an injury.
System
Spend an Action, Exert your Mind, choose a target within 45 feet, and roll Intellect + Science Difficulty 6. The target may defend by rolling to dodge or Defend (as for an attack with a thrown weapon) as a Reaction.
Damage dealt equals the difference between your attack roll's Outcome and the defensive roll's (if one was made), plus 3.The target's Armor is Fully Effective.
Enhancements
- Beam-o-war (You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.)
- Accursed Wounds (Any Injury inflicted is considered unstabilized even if its Severity is less than 4. The equipment and roll required to Stabilize it is treated as though it is a minimum of Severity 6.)
