Research logs (Hypothesis 1/Observation report)

Hypothesis

Hypothesis 1:
Subject: Xuflirelium chemical composition, effects on the body

Xuflirelium, as it is commonly known across the continent, is a heavily addictive and hazardous substance derived from what i presume to be a descendant of some kind of herbal plant, perhaps created with extensive genetic modification or absorbation of chemical particles in the past.

Upon consumption of the substance, individuals observed are known to enter a state of a heavily boosted metabolic state, during which the chemicals stored in the leaves of the plant contribute greatly to the subject's physical and psychological abilites, improving their strength, dexterity, cognitive capacity etc. Possibility of side effects: overstraining of muscles, brain decay, stroke?

After a period of continued non-absortion of, what I presume to be a biochemical agent within the plant, the subject enters a state of withdrawal during which symptoms such as present, in order:

         Stage 1

  • Anxiety
  • Craving
  • Aggression

         Stage 2

  • Increased heart rate
  • Visual and auditory hallucinations
  • Shock

         Stage 3

  • Coma
  • Death

During research on the subject, I have come to a hypothesis that the afforementioned symptoms are caused by a previously mentioned biochemical agent (which will be referred to as the override agent) which enters the brain upon consumption of the substance, binding itself to neurological cells and rewiring the brain's electrical signal response into believing that the substance is required for survival (similar to what happens in regular addiction). Differing from normal addiction is the physical response that follows, the same response that usually happens when the body is entering a state of shock (i.e limiting bloodflow to non-essential organs, slowly shutting down the body's physical functions in an attempt to prolong lifespan), due to what I believe is the override agent tricking the neurological system into believing the body is slowly being deprived of an extremely essential substance such as oxygen.

This, I believe is part of the plant's natural reproduction cycle, at first acting in a symbiotic relation with its host, before eventually resulting in the host's death, which then serves as sustenance and as a suitable enviornement for more Xuflirelium to grow. This is of course all currently unconfirmed.

I believe that with the proper equipment, I may be able to seperate the chemical agents that make up Xuflirelium's composition, splitting the override agent and the substance that results in its beneficial qualities apart, after which the override agent can be disposed of and the beneficial substances further refined into a variety of medicines.

Note to self: Continue research as soon as you acquire proper funds, equipment and assistance
THIS IS IMPORTANT RESEARCH, DO NOT FORGET

Observation report

Observation report 1.
Unknown parisitic infection: dubbed P-tar/102-405 (TAR plague/virus/parasite, in short)
First observed: Zafra village (Unconfirmed, personal experience)
HEAVILY CONTAGIOUS -- AVOID PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH AFFLICTED / POSSIBLE AIRBORNE HAZARD

Description: The TAR parasite is an unknown, presumably new, invasive species of parasite that infects human hosts (animal infection has thus far been unconfirmed). The parasite is heavily harmful to the human body, no symbiotic qualities are present, mortality rate is (presumed to be) 100% without immediate medical intervention. The parasitic infection is known to affect primarily the brain, alongside the body's neurological systems and immune systems.

Mortality: 100%

Symptoms: Cough, rash, auditory/visual hallucinations, delirium, other symptoms commonly associated with the common cold/flu.

Incubation time: Immediate, 15 minutes (presumed) until symptoms begin. Fatal: 2-10 hours (presumed).

Causes: Parastic spores released by mature specimens of the TAR parasite. Transmittion possible via: mucus membranes (nose, mouth, eyes, ears), direct skin contact, inhalation, consumption/digestion.

Treatment: Immediate surgery of the brain and removal of parasitic growth/rendering parasitic growth deceased if removal impossible.
NOTE: If TAR parasite has already reached mature status, patient is to be considered DECEASED, the body is to be considered a biohazard and disposed of. Minimize contact.

Summary: The TAR parasitic infection begins upon patient coming into unprotected contact with TAR spores. During a period of 15 minutes, infectious spores begin to spread from the source of infection towards the brain. Parasitic growth begins as soon as the spores reach the brain. While in the process of growth, the parasite is (PRESUMABLY, ALWAYS TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS) considered non-contagious. During this time, patients will begin to report symptoms of the common cold/flu, as the infection progresses hallucinations and delirium begins to set in. It is possible to save the patient during this time, by peforming invasine brain surgery and removing the growth from the brain. After the parasite reaches full growth (2-10 hours, presumed) the patient is to be considered deceased, as the parasite begins to turn the body's immune system against itself, expelling the body's immune agents and other beneficial liquids through a black, tar-like substance out of the mucuous membranes of the body (it is unknown if this liquid serves as a vector for infection, however, necessary precautions should be taken when interacting with it).

During the time of maturity, the parasite becomes heavily aggressive and defensive, spewing a cloud of black smoke as a defensive measure. This smoke consists of parasitic spores, and serves as further vector for infection. The parasite has not yet been observed to survive in the body after the patients death for an indeterminate period of time, most likely as long as there remains nutrients in the form of the deceased body to feed off of, as such bodies remain highly infectious even afet death. It is currently unknown whether the patient is still alive during the initial period of the parasite reaching maturity status, however, recovery is considered heavily implausible due to the destruction of the body's immune system.

Note: Antibiotics/immunal boosting medicine/herbs possibly delay onset of symptoms/growth, unconfirmed, do not take for granted.

Untitled Economic Report - #1

(The page is rather chaotic. On a first glance you can see several words, numbers and drawings that ressemble graphs hastily and angrily crossed out, words being rewritten over and over, and even some coffee stains. As you go lower on the page however, these seem to be more consistent, as the upper part, barring the fact that its entirely crossed out, ressembles a more professional and clean style)

'Sale' of New Falkusian intelligencia to Allectus + 70,000 د.ك

Imperial Ambassador Allectus has been kind enough to let me know that the situation on the coming days might be more unstable. Preparations for the start of a wheat sale enterprise have begun, to last until at least the end of the week, when the market should be more stable. Data below: The situation is not becoming more stable. Maybe we could expand the current operations for another week.  This fucking town is in absolute chaos. This place has turned into a damn dumpsterfire. The wheat is fucking lost. The town itself is absolutely lost. It was supposed to be a simple incursion by some damn terrorists solved within days. How did this degenerate to this point?!

(The data has been throughfully crossed out, nothing really understandable anymore)

  • Aaon aofik asorj ofafdoianfe 22333 د.ك
  • Warehouse near Velod around 20,000 د.ك
  • Around 400 units of wheat per warehouse at 16 per unit
  • 500 units of wheat for the CHD to be put on hold until until the end of the week - 8000 د.ك
  • Cost of transport, comment to Daniell

Total profit: 75,000د.ك ONLY LOSSES

I have met a couple of interesting characters these last few days. Notably, by alphabetical order:

Ambassador Allectus - An imperial ambassador with seemingly very fat pockets
Ava Miller - Leader of a small gang of bandits. Might come in handy.

Grant Worthington - Close friend to the Cynamophan governor

Leonard Alean - Fellow contractor. Rich kid with high ideals. Poor thing  Damned be both of them! They threw me under the bus on the meeting with the harbringer

Rebecca Altea - Fellow contractor. Not very sociable. Autistic maybe?  . Do they really not understand that I did most for this contract? Who do they think they are!

Lee Xiao Fang - Xurocorp executive. Might come in handy.                       I need to get a hold on my anger. It's not their fault. I should have evaluated the situation better.

The wheat transport failed. The golden frogs got it. In the midst of my anger I joined the rebel forces in the town. Now I do have a company at least, and it seems I will have a form of funding, but if this rebellion fails I might as well bid my head goodbye. It's a huge gamble the one I'm taking. The state of the rebellion is fucking deplorable. A joke even. Absolutely no connection between cells, there's no head beyond some suicidal martyr wannabe who couldn't see a proper strategy even if it bit him on the face. The town is on the way to ressemble an ashtray more than a town, am I really risking shit for these dimwits? Why in the heavens did I think this was a good idea?!

The situation has more or less stabilized. It is clear that it only needed a woman's touch. We I have arranged to deviate the resources coming into the town from XuroCorp deviated towards the insurrectionist side. I can't wait to see the face of the New Falkusians when they realize that their supplies had been 'destroyed' by rebels in the desert! That'll push them to try to take advantage of an already hateful population. God knows what the result will be. Furthermore, I have also managed at least some semblance of international recognition and some weapon 'donations' from the Eukelesians, but I would also like to talk to the Cynamophan Governor through Grant, offer them a honorable surrender and some food in exchange of surrendering their positions and leaving the town. I'd like  to have a positive relation with the Falkusians. Not only me, but the town itself.

Everything will be fine, it seems.

Unwilling Actors in Repeating Theater Play

In the end, what has been – will be again, and what has been done – will be done again. There is nothing new under the sun.

There is a myth that involves four heroes, and a goddess. Fleeing her consort’s realm after seeing horrors of his actions, she provided aid by a group of heroes from a local settlement. The architect, the healer, the guardian and the warrior. They helped her on the crossing the chaotic river of Zamzinar, and pushing her consort down under the river.

Initially thought by Leonard to be a fairy tale, it turned out that this story occurs in history again, and again, and again, with same characters – four heroes, and a damsel in distress.

In fact, both he and I have seen visions. He was a person named Lancelot. I was a person called Fatima. Both of us participated in two different stories, which however were so similar in details, that if you did not know better, you would assume those two stories are one story that had different regional versions. However, they were different, and the most recent occurrence happened approximately 25 years ago, on 513th Celestial.

Which also happened to be the year I was born, as well as the year when Alean was born. I have a suspicion that if I were to ask [scrubbed out], and possible Ava, their age, I would receive same answer, which is that they are 25 year old, just like us, and just like amount of years that passed since last instance of this story occurring in history.

It raise a concern on the nature of this event repeating in history, and how we are related to the individuals of the past that too were part of this repeating event. Our lives, were they manipulated by some beings that we could not comprehend, to make us the people we are? So that we could be forced into positions of the next generation of actors in this repeating theater play?

We forge our destinies. What we become is the result of what happens to us, and what we do.

But, can you still possess control over your life, if there is a high chance that both your entire life and its outcome were decided long before you were even born?

In thought

I suppose it might be wise to keep a track of things. After all, who knows what might happen. I can no longer rely on everything to go my way, I've learned the hard way.

How do you even write a report? Am I supposed to be professional? Just go with what I think's important? Am I weird for overthinking this?

I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't prepared for everything that's happened today. I think To start with the beginning, I wasn't aware that I was going to be joined by others who shared ambitions similar to mine, however I am not at all bothered. I just wish things could have turned out otherwise. Perhaps. What if.

I'm not completely aware of what they did to end up as they did, but I don't think I could've done much else. Or is this all my fault?

No, thinking like that is going to get me nowhere. Things like this happen. Move on.

But what if I can't?

I can't keep second guessing myself. I'd almost gotten myself killed back at the hostage situation. Even now, I don't know if I made the right choice. Truly, I do believe that the girl deserved to live, even after everything done to her. But, is that truly what she wanted? Was what I did wrong? What if I'm wrong? What if she was right? No, I refuse to believe death is preferable to imprisonement.

I just wish I could've done more. To help the girl. To help Connor and Greg. To help myself. I guess even after everything, I'm still just a naive, rich kid. I still haven't learned anything, even after this taxing journey.

At least there's someone I managed to help today, Jacob Miller, and Za'kar. I hope Za'kar's doing alright. Miller's on a good pathway to full recovery, I've been keeping an eye on his situation, and his sister's a lifesaver. However, to learn what the bandits in the gambling district were doing, even after rescuing Za'kar and scamming them out of their money, I can't overlook the situation. There has to be something I can do.

Can't help everybody

I can try

Well, I guess they did get what they deserved, though. I'm still surprised I managed to pull off that stunt with the medkits, to be honest. Well, I have to find a way to deal with them some day, but perhaps this is not the day.

Oh, would you look at the time, I have a meeting with the Harbinger I need to attend. Well, I'll finish the report some other day.

Probably won't.

Khortos is a world which its inhabitants are experiencing resource withdrawals oftenly referred to as 'mana' which is a term used for magic. Nations within this world heavily relied upon the powers of mana, carrying it into the industrial era and beyond. Originally, mana was a blessing bestowed by the gods referred to as the Harbingers and Nurturers of this world. It was originally received as a gift via objects called a 'Ritual Lantern'. Ritual Lanterns are found in caves and many parts of nature, and people would simply place an offering to receive its power, depending on the contents of said offering.

Hundreds of years later when the industrial revolution kicked in, mankind eventually were able to build machines that would take a Ritual Lantern and extract its contents not for it to be possessed by humans as a form of 'gift', rather to be put in a liquidized state and many other forms. 'Mana machines' and 'mana fuels' were born, its power were countless times more effective than coal, fossil fuels, oil, and natural gas. Industrialists exploited and commercialized mana related products, eventually abandoning 'pre-mana industrial technologies'. Mana eventually fell into the hands of powerful nobles, princes, and in some free nations, corporations as well. As the era of absolutism never really ended. This left the middle and lower classes with almost no access to the supernatural powers.

370 Standard Hemispheric Time, all of the Ritual Lanterns malfunction almost immediately in the form of a shockwave. Nobody knew where it originated from nor what caused it, but mana of different forms did not react the same. Mana used to fuel planes and boats would sometimes combust, leading to a near-collapse of entire navies and airforces, 'gifts' once inhabited by people dissappears, only the most powerful remained able to cast powers. With this, entire industries halted production and the economy experiences a severe recession. The world took 8 years to barely recover as many rushed to use the old 'pre-mana industrial technologies', by that time most people either use pre-mana tech or post one that had been partially scrapped and modified with a pre-mana to increase effectiveness.

Shortly after, Harbingers would secretly send out their informants to approach a rare bunch and recruit them as 'Contractors'. The game is simple, participate in death-threatening missions and they in return would be able to receive 'gifts', something that this world had lacked. Contractors are considered rare on most regions, they mostly resides in urban centres and would take advantage of local unrests to execute contracts.

A second event started following humanity's invasion by another species known as the 'Sabisians', widely rumored to be a byproduct of a previous war conducted amongst gods. It turned out that a species created purposefully for war combined with superior technology would instantly decimate all hopes of human victory. Which brings us to today, 157 celestials (years) after the invasion.

House Rules

Contractors from Khortos Are NOT portable, and may NOT visit other Playgroups to participate in Contracts.
Khortos grants 6 Experience points to GMs who achieve the Golden Ratio.
House Rules:
1. Status, Citizenship, Cipher, Arsenal, Fame, Contacts, Database, Alias, Wealthy, Rich, Jack of all trades, Gifted, Imprisoned, Animal (NO FURRY RP!!), Lycanthropy (NO WOLF RP!!)
2. Stockpiles allows extra slots in your starting living area for extra items such as weapons or anything else, just nothing super illegal/rare.
3. The standard almost widely spoken language would be Standard Eukelesian. However, if a player chooses to be a polygot, they may also have the ability to speak Sabisian. Which naturally gives a huge advantage into understanding the species. While learning said language is possible, it would naturally take a long time.

Extra Rules: For Long-Time Players
The rules of character creation will change after a player's previous contractor has been either killed or retired after a long arc. Overtime, they'll be allowed benefits when making their next character such as the removal of forbidden assets, so the benefits after experiencing the death of a previous contractor isn't just a charon coin, it's the permission to start ahead. Do note that it does not mean one can simply kill their own contractor immediately then repeat the proccess until they are granted these benefits, there must be a long story with multiple sessions done in the last character, and most importantly an amazing one that actually means something for the world of Khortos.

Creating another contractor after 2 has died/retired
1. Change to starting inventory
   - [Starting apparel/clothing], can now optionally pick 2 extra unique clothes related to backstory.
   - [4x extra items] if you chose 'stockpile', rather than 2x
2. You can now pick: Contact, Wealthy, Database

Creating another contractor after 3 has died/retired
1. Change to starting inventory: Now you have no slot restrictions to inventory, pick anything as long as it makes sense with your backstory.
2. You can now pick: Status, Rich

New House Rules:
1.  Any amount of wealth added from assets means that your fame as well as notoriety will increase no matter what.
2. These extra assets granted (contact, wealthy, database, status, rich) MUST BE COUNTER-BALANCED with severe negative drawbacks, can either be physical/mental deformities, notorious background, or simply starting out with multiple loose ends.
3. Status (or Respected Expert after the new update), cannot make you the leader of an organization no matter how small or big. You'll be respected in your field, but you can't be as high as for example government officials or bandit leaders.

Full Setting Description

"Had greed killed us?"

Khortos is a world which its inhabitants are experiencing resource withdrawals until now. It was first created about 5500 years ago as one of the many hemispheres branching out from one big tree, which itself had been created by the Council of Kharukh (the ruling gods of this world). In an effort to organize the universe which before the creation of the mundane world that is the 'Tree of Life', had always been filled with nothing but wars between the supernatural. As previously mentioned, the tree of life contains many branches, and those would sustain many hemisphere-shaped worlds with their own inhabitants.

Timeline

Pre-Khortos

(all dates referenced uses the Standard Hemispheric Time format)

The era that existed before recorded history exists before Khortos and possibly the tree that nurtures it was created. The Council of Kharukh however, had already existed during this time. It ranges between the time of bitter division and intrigue amongst the creators, gods fighting one another with their powers. Until a period of eventual unification, with the creation of Kharukh.

Over the span of a few centuries after the council was created, the ‘tree of life’ became their best of creations. For a long time, the balance between gods and the mundane was disorganized, their borders are lacking consistency. So, the council considered creating a world just for the mundane, a tree of life, with the council living right on the very top.

This surprisingly worked, many mortals lived inside of the tree in hemispheric shaped worlds, some residing inside of it, some living in their life orbs, etc. Between all these worlds, Khortos was created out of tree barks, producing a stable ecosystem. Khortos was created by the council, not just one of the gods, though the scrolls suspect that one amongst them provided them with the necessary materials to create it.

Present Era

According to the Standard Hemispheric Time, recorded history began at approximately -5000 celestials. The most powerful nation referred to as the Empire of Eukelesia was formed in 0 celestial, thus creating the time format. Only remnants of it exist nowadays.

Khortos is a world currently occupied by races known as the Sabisians, a militaristic seemingly aggressive race that supposedly had unknowingly came out of nowhere and nearly conquered the human race. The confirmed theory is that they are the byproduct created by a Kharukh Council Member that rebelled against the rest of the council. Breaking the boundaries between the mundane and supernatural, this council figure created a race that while deemed inferior amongst the supernatural, are superior to the mundane in order to deal with mortals siding with the council.

According to the books found amongst the scattered debris of the former Eukelesian Royal Library of Humanities and Expression, the Sabisians are suspected to have started their invasion in the former Federation of Bethoz during the late 400s celestials, before rapidly advancing and nearly taking over the entirety of the planet in the matter of weeks. The maps illustrated are of course outdated as the Sabisians have yet to begin their final assault into the Empire itself.

“They [The Sabisians] overran our defenses. The strange thing I experienced is that when they stormed our lines, they made gurgling noises. When the first unit was overran the military trucks were quickly crushed into literal dust then sucked into their supposed ‘pores’. As if they were ravenous, desperate for nutrition. That’s when I knew our final chances of liberating Cleonia were no more.” - Commander Zachary of the 23rd Imperial Division

Before the Sabisians

History is fuzzy before the Sabisians came to be, this was due to the fact that Sabisians spent great efforts censoring history and remodeling them to appease the collaborators. Despite this, a few key historical events are still recognized by the public eye. The most significant event being the Council of Kharukh’s first origins that led to Khortos’ creation.

The origins of Khortos are filled with ‘Precursors’, former species that came before the human race. It is widely believed that the rebellion against the Council of Kharukh that kickstarted centuries long of heavenly wars led to their extinction. As the opposition known as Sabisia did not respect the Tree Code (code widely agreed between supernaturals to limit their divine intervention towards the mundane). The biggest violation being the creation of Sabisians to wipe any encouragement of opposition in the mundane world.

After The Sabisians

Below are events known to have happened in Narklan after the ensued invasion:

  • 381 celestials: After getting pushed back on all fronts, the Imperial Army’s 3rd Corps decides to counter-attack south to Narklan after rumors of a Sabisian relic had been found. After the Sabisian WMDs deployment however, this mission would turn out to be a failure.
  • 382 celestials: deployment of WMDs at the Narklani border by the famed Sabisian war hero, Rax’ar.
  • 382 celestials: Pymenoan tribes, among them the famed Wadi ad Dawasir tribe, arrived and landed in Narklan to escape from the Sabisian scourge.
  • 383-411 celestials: Lacking manpower, other than the 5-child initiative policy, the Imperials also decided to create the Duchy of New Falkusia as a compromise to incorporate the newly arrived Pymenoan tribes. A class divide began to emerge between Eukelesians and Pymenoans who were eventually ‘reformed’ into New Falkusians through state education and the careful surgical removal of their language. This would blow over to the New Falkusian war for independence, as they are in the majority, the New Falkusians would win after less than a year of fighting in 411. The Shallami bloodline takes over, the Eukelesian Duchy of New Falkusia reformed into the Knighthood of New Falkusia.
  • 411-425 celestials: Sandhoran war of independence after they claimed their race to have been 'exploited for centuries'.
  • 425-430 celestials: Reports of several phenomenon and mysterious changes in behavior of the Sabisians had been documented, though little is known to this event.
  • 430 celestials: reformation of the Eukelesian 3rd Corps to the Grand Army, with individual cores created, up to 10 in total.
  • 430 celestials: war begins to die down as both exhausted themselves and Narklan is isolated from the rest of the world.
  • The ensuing 108 celestials would see massive environmental change as a result of the Sabisian WMDs notably creating the New Falkusian desert, skirmishes alongside the creation of TUFLoK to the north treated as a safe escape for pre-war industrialists suffering against the Empire’s tighter regulations, Solum Eukelesia is also created from the disgruntled nobles, and the radical Orthid Crusaders who in a daring act cutted themselves off of the central Akvarian church in 433.
  • The skirmishes would last for 108 years, until a resurgence in 538 celestials.

Worldbuilding

Technology and Mana

Mana is the term used for the substance that humanity had depended on for so long. With the rapid progress of science during the golden age mostly occuring in the 420s, mana was able to be extracted from a person’s body. It originally took in the form of a gaseous substance as a form of blessing when one activates the Ritual Lanterns. During the golden age, scientists were able to contain the gas, and even extract mana from the body of the person, converting it to many more forms such as liquid.

The collapse/Ritual Lantern malfunction occurred 8 years ago. During that time, the liquidized manas simply turned grey, the gaseous forms evaporated away, and the ones that are currently used as fuel explodes. Leading to the biggest international disaster ever witnessed.

In terms of technology humanity has started to rely on older ones following the collapse, sometimes scrapping the parts of newer ones and using them to improve older ones without the use of mana.

In reference to pop-culture, Khortos adopts a fine mix of cassette futurism and steelpunk. Mana would take a considerable amount of space to store it, computers would need to be large to port USBs connected to power it. This was also inspired by mankind's pre-mana industrial technology. The same style applies to humans after the Sabisian invasion.

The Supernatural and the Mundane

In this realm there exist four main hiararchies:

- The Gods who are the original creators of the ‘tree of life’. (The Lord of the Sabisians are one of them but they had broken the 'Tree Code' by intervening too much in the Mundane World, disrupting peace.)

- The Harbingers which enforces the philosophy of balance to keep the universe alive despite the cutthroat nature of heavenly politics. (e.g. Harbingers and Nurturers)

- Guardians which are subordinates of the keepers aiding them in doing so such as informants which involves themselves going into mundane worlds and living amongst commoners. (e.g. Informants)

- The mundane which are basically humans and other sapient beings on the planet bounded by the laws of physics and reality, that may only be broken by the 'gifts'.

One planet could contains at least 10 or more keepers (Harbingers and Nurturers), and hundreds of guardians. Keepers has no clearly defined regions, rather they keep the balance of power by opposing one another, interpreting intrigue as a ‘healthy competition’ to keep the balance.`

Calendar System

Khortos uses the Celestial system or Standard Hemispheric Time (SHT), a system that had been used since the pre-mana industrial revolution. One celestial equals 3 cycles, 1 cycle contains 4 phases (months), 1 phase equals 30 days. One week equals to 10 days, and there are 3 weeks in 1 phase.

4 Phases being: Phase of Luddite, Harvest, The Autumn Sun, and Coldwind.

10 days being: Day of Akdir, day of Ebweus, day of Blessings, day of Labor, day of Mid-Rest, day of toil, day of Akadrin, day of creation, day of redemption, day of clarity.

Example: Day of Mid-Rest (Day), 20th Harvest (Date and Phase/Month), 2nd Cycle, 538 Celestials (Year). Weeks are usually not specified.

Below shows the calendar system from Phase then below to weeks and days. (Remember that 1 Phase equals to 3 weeks, and 3 weeks equals to 10 days).

Status of Contractors

Contractors are relatively known in this world though there's really nothing that other non-contractors may do about it. Contractors are hired when they are summoned to the Heavenly Realm, oftenly when they are asleep. Furthermore, the world is busy dealing with the recent instability to properly look at them. Contractors not serving under the same Harbinger and of conflicting interests may encounter one another.
