Sakngea Somm is a Triad Taoshi who will risk their life to awaken his powers, to connect with tradition and his heritage, to revive traditions long lost to time: to serve the community.

They are 23 years old, and often appears as a man wearing a traditional maroon Chinese dress-shirt tucked into a black blouse overlaid by a black silk coat. He appears to be adorned by various charms and boons, such as protection beads, luck charms, and a pair of large round reading shades.

    Backstory

    Somm was born in Southern China sometime during the late 90s, he was born to a family of strict and staunch CCP-backed modernists who believed in a "Modern Spirituality": they were exorcists and priests. They believed that the old way was wrong, and that the new state-funded way was the right path to go: which is why when Somm was born and discovered to be a latent vessel / "Tangki" for the spirit king Zhong Kui they were outraged. The CCP ordered the family to either kill the child, as he was already against the one-child policy, or give them up to the state as a weapon.

    Somm was killed, however, he wasn't actaully. The Triad simply smuggled him out of the country and to the United States where he was raised right. Somm was raised at a local temple / monastery and instructed on how to do the things, how to connect with his background, etc etc. It was there that Somm learned most of what he knew, and where Somm began to realize his importance to the community. Somm soon joined the Triad in his later teenage years, as he came unto an artifact he dubbed "The Mandarin" (A ghost gun), and soon discovered some other latent abilities of his that served the community well.

    Somm's a somewhat-senior member of the Chinatown Triad in San Francisco, he does a lot of work around the community mediating and connecting people back to their ancestors. A lot of what he does is commune with the dead-homies, tie up generational griefs and traumas, and figure out who-killed-whos and where to organize hits and drives.

    Somm moonlights at a Noodleshop in the Chinatown's downtown, where he works as a server during most of the week. When hes not working as a server, he's partaking in triad activities including staking, organizing hits, information-gathering, and other wholesome OPP activities. The owner of the Noodleshop is also a senior Triad member.
