Ugg is a modern neanderthal who will risk his life to become the ultimate were-dino popstar and bring back the age of dinosaurs and teach modern society how to live in it.

He is 39 (120,000+) years old, lives in their mobile home in Flint, Michigan, and often appears as a well-built, hairy man with long arms, a blocky facial structure, wearing a nice, yet humble suit and pants.

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 4 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 4). You take a point of Mind damage and suffer a Major Battle Scar that lingers after the Injury is healed, even with proper Stabilization.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Complete success (Outcome 4+) puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Any positive Outcome (1+) will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed attempts can be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Sensitive You're emotionally fragile, and very likely to be mentally and emotionally scarred by your experiences. You have four Limits, instead of the usual three.

Gullible You are trusting and honest to a fault, and believe almost everything you hear. You automatically fail any roll to detect a lie, and any rolls which involve telling lies are at +3 difficulty.

Lizard Brain You are so unintelligent, you're accustomed to acting on instinct alone. As long as your Intellect rating is 1, being reduced to 0 Mind does not incapacitate you. Instead, you are able to continue to take Actions, though you are limited to dog-like level of intelligence, and Penalty still applies in full.

Cat-Eyes Your eyes catch the light in the dark like a cat or dog's, granting low-light vision. You suffer no penalty to rolls in low-light situations. You cannot see in pitch blackness.

Lanky You are particularly tall and have long limbs. Your "touch" range is ten feet instead of the standard five.

Focused You’re cool under pressure. Stress from Mind Damage is reduced by 2.

Lycanthropy (Were-Rex) You are possessed by an impulsive aspect that physically and mentally transforms you on the full moon and the surrounding nights. At the start of each Contract, roll a d10 and multiply the result by 2 to determine how many nights until the full moon. On the two nights leading up to the full moon, you experience minor physical changes and all Mind rolls are +1 Difficulty. On the night of the full moon, you transform fully into an obviously unusual creature and all Mind rolls are +2 Difficulty.

Tough You can function under intense pain. Stress from Injuries is reduced by 2.

Jack of All Trades You are naturally capable of most things, even without any training. When making a roll which utilizes a Primary Ability that you don’t possess, you do not suffer the standard +1 Difficulty penalty, and you receive +1 dice to the roll.

Imbued After accepting your first Invitation to a Contract, you are Imbued, altering you in several ways. After completing a Contract, your learning and conditioning improves rapidly. However, you require the Contracts to advance. You have an indomitable Will to Survive. You may Exert your Mind to improve the Outcome of your Actions. You are highly receptive to therapy and may "cure" one of your Traumas with counseling on a Downtime.

Swimmer's Build You are built for the water. +2 dice to any rolls relating to swimming. Actions performed in water have their penalty reduced by 1.

Biography

A caveman frozen inside of a glacier, somehow surviving to the modern day to be thawed out. Through a freak combination of golden genetics and uncanny compatibility with a supernatural resource trapped within the same glacier, Ugg has managed to squeak past the confines of death, and even gained some cool powers to go with it.

He was met by some labcoated individuals who offered to assist Ugg in acclimating to the modern day. They are still around and even got him help setting up his government identity.

He has been living in modern society for around 10 years now, and has secured himself a life as a traveling philosopher. He brings his unique perspective combined with 10 years of dedicated self-improvement to lectures around the country.

He doesn't necessarily enjoy this life. Sure, there are people he likes, but mostly everyone seems so interested in what he is, and not who he is. Ugg's therapist, Melissa wouldn't treat Ugg like this. No, she wouldn't. Ugg doesn't like how society treats people like Ugg.

Ugg thinks that society shouldn't be this stressful and he WILL change that.

Ugg's government name is Ethan Stone, a 39-year-old man from Antarctica who moved here from the Santa Cruz Province in Argentina, where he was a member of the Awaswas tribe. In reality, he was not, in fact, from that tribe, but has had that as his cover story from the scientists who found him halfway out of an iceberg in the ocean drifting towards Argentina.
