Movement

Actions

Attack with your weapon or hands.
Evade by rolling to Defend or Dodge. Your Outcome is "spent" to reduce the Outcome of any incoming attacks until your next Action.
Activate a Power or use an Ability as normal.
Hold your Action by declaring an Action and a triggering event. If the event occurs before your turn on the next Round, you perform the Action.

If you have not yet spent your Action this Round, you may use it as a Reaction.

Reactions

Dodge by rolling Dexterity + Athletics ( dice) Difficulty 6. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's.
Defend with your weapon by rolling its attack roll. Your Outcome is subtracted from the attacker's. Availability depends on weapon match-up (tap/hover).
Clash with the attacker using the same roll you would use to Defend. The higher Outcome (not contested) is treated as the result of a successful, undefended attack roll against the loser.

Desperate Defense

If you have already used your Action, you may Exert your Mind to perform a Reaction. Your next Round's Action receives a -2 dice penalty. You cannot Clash as a Desperate Defense or React more than once to a given Action.

Will to Survive

Once per Contract, you may reduce the severity of an incoming Injury up to 5 Severity levels (to a minimum of Severity 5). You also take a point of Mind Damage and suffer a Battle Scar as normal.

If an attack's Outcome is positive after defense, it results in a new Injury with Severity = Outcome + Weapon damage - Armor

Proper Stabilization

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty equal to Severity

An Outcome of 1 or greater will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
Outcome 4+ puts the Injury on track to heal clean: its Battle Scar heals with it.
On a Botch, the Injury's Severity increases by 1.
Failed or Botched attempts may be re-attempted at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Makeshift Stabilization

Attempt a major treatment using insufficient or improvised medical equipment.

Roll Intellect + Medicine, Difficulty > Severity

Outcome 1+ will Stabilize the Injury and stop its degradation.
However, any Outcome less than 4 increases the Injury’s Severity by 1. Botches also worsen its Battle Scar if it caused one.
Regardless of Outcome, any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will persist after it is fully healed.
Failed or Botched attempts may be retried at +1 Difficulty per failure.

Self-stabilization attempts are rolled at +1 Difficulty.

Biography

Born to a puerto rican father and japanese mother, and raised in England, Yuria had a troubled childhood. Her mother died in a car-crash at an early age, leaving Yuria to be raised by her father, Luis. Over the years, her father's temper worsened, and he would often make his feelings known with his fists. Her only escape was the back garden, where she'd sit practicing her guitar and watching the stars, a place she wished she could explore.

Constantly clashing with him, Yuria was eventually kicked out of home at the age of 19, after a huge argument that left both with bruises. Spending a year drifting homelessly around the city, she eventually made friends with one of the workers at the hostel she occasionally stayed at, a woman named Kate. Kate helped Yuria get back on her feet, and got her the job at the music store she's worked in for the past 4 years.

The manager of the store, Sabrina, quickly became Yuria's closest friend and confidante. She encouraged Yuria's love of music, finding gigs for her to play in local bars, and allowing her to practice in the store during quiet periods. They have spent many nights just talking, about Yuria's love for the idea of space exploration, about the store and the latest records to be released, and occasionally their shared love of painting. Is it any wonder that Yuria developed a crush? She tried to hide it, but unbeknownst to her, Sabrina knows, and doesn't say anything, as she doesn't return her feelings.
