Julian Vasquez lays on the black top, spit on his forehead as Jason and Jessica walk away laughing. The need for justice fills his heart and he looks down at his Amulet, Paranoias amulet. he grabs it and red light glimmers through his hands. He calls out for Paranoia and his calls are returned. A demonic figure blood across his body bursts from the floor grabbing Jessica by the throat and using its twisted claws to shape Jessica's face into that of a pigs. Julian smiles, justice is served.


Exert your Mind and Spend an Action to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may roll Body, Difficulty 7, as a Free Action to resist.

If you succeed, the target receives a new Battle Scar of your choosing, limited by the contested Outcome:

  1. A Minor Battle Scar E.g. an aesthetic-only body modification (a disfigured face, a pig's tail), impacted hand or foot, or vocal changes that complicate communication
  2. A Major Battle Scar E.g. a disabled/removed hand or foot, an inability to speak, an impacted major sense, removal of a minor sense, impacted movement.
  3. A Severe Battle Scar E.g. a disabled/removed arm or leg, deafness, aesthetic changes that are nearly impossible to conceal.
  4. An Extreme Battle Scar E.g. removal/disabling both hands or both legs, blindness, a full-body deformation that leaves the target humanoid but makes it difficult to use clothes, vehicles, and equipment designed for humans.
Refer to the stock Battle Scars on the Character Sheet for specific systems.

  • If this Effect fails due to the Unreliable check, you must still pay any associated activation costs.
  • You may opt to inflict a Battle Scar that is less severe than what your Outcome allows.
  • Remember: A Contractor’s Body rating is reduced by 1 for each Battle Scar after their fourth.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Eldritch Amulet

A platinum amulet with a jade tentacle design decorating the front. it has been exposed to the warping influence of an elder god and has taken on some of their mysterious and otherworldly power. This object was sent to Jack by an unknown individual saying it contained supernatural power yet it didn't show any effect until his recent near death experience. when its powers triggers it glows with a mysterious colour unlike any seen on earth

The amulet glows and your arm transforms into a leach like tendril made of flesh that latches into a target and either drains or bestows physical or mental energy


Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Sapient target within arm's reach. If a target does not consent to the transfer, you must roll intellect + occult at Difficulty 6 to use the effect on them. They can resist by rolling either Body or Mind at Difficulty 6, depending on what you are attempting to transfer to them.

You may choose a single instance of one of the following to transfer from your target to yourself, or from yourself to them:

  • A single Trauma
  • A single Injury and any Battle Scars it caused
Cannot be used again on the same target for the next day.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see your arm turning into a fleshy tendril with a leach like mouth and latching onto the target.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.

Your amulet glows and you begin coughing violently and puke up a small squid covered in black mucus.

The squid can hover and also possesses a powerful and highly acidic ink spit attack.

The powers that where absorbed by the amulet are growing the more it is near supernatural entities, Jack was lucky that the first time jack used this power he was in his own home or else he would of had a lot of issues acting socially after that point.


Exert your Mind and spend at least two Actions performing the following ritual: Puking up black mucus to activate. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

Summon a single Eldritch Squid at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.

Minions have 4 Body and can make ranged attacks at targets up to 30 feet away with 5 dice to attack and +1 Damage. Your minions can move 45 feet per Round as Free Movement, and double that when performing an all-out Sprint. They cannot dodge or Defend. They have dog-level intelligence, and cannot communicate back to you. Any Perception checks they make are rolled with 3 dice.

Your minions can fly at their normal movement speed.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see you coughing violently as you puke up a small squid like creature covered in black mucus.

Magic Purple Shard of Regeneration

The shard's glow will intensify, as its powers course through the user's vain, visible glowing are also present at the spot of the injury.

Magic purple shards are rare in Miglia, this one contains supernatural powers which focuses on healing.


You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours, starting once it becomes stabilized. You may also Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of a single stabilized Injury by 1. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.

Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain. Any Injuries you receive automatically count as a successful Makeshift Stabilization and do not deteriorate further.

Shattered Hope

A small locket made of fake silver with an incredibly blurry picture of "someone" on the inside as well as a shattered glass mirror. The shards have nothing stopping them from falling out of the locket but they persevere, unstable, perhaps out of spite...

The Stalker grabs hold of his locket with violent force as if trying to crush it as he stares at the image inside, building up obsessive interest over time...


Expend a point of Battery and spend one minute.

You may perceive things within 75 feet of you with perfect clarity as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 30 minutes.

You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.

  • This does not satisfy the Line of Sight requirement for targeted Effects.

This Artifact can be used as a thrusting sword. It is roughly the same size as a thrusting sword and just as difficult to conceal.

Attack by rolling Dexterity + Melee, Difficulty 6. Successful attacks deal Contested Outcome +4 Weapon Damage.

Possession of this Artifact causes the following Battle Scar to manifest over the course of a day: Mixcoatl`s Markings You are covered in full-body indigenous Azteca tattoos. (You are remarkable & incredibly recognizable, and your appearance may cause social complications). If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Bane: Injuries dealt to undead are increased by 2 Severity levels.
  • Pin: If you Injure a target with an Attack, you may choose to leave your weapon. If you do, the target is “pinned” to that location until the weapon is removed. Removing the weapon increases the Severity of that Injury by 2.
  • Shredder: If you successfully hit your target, the value of any Armor they are wearing is reduced by 2. For material armor, this penalty lasts until it is repaired. For intrinsic armor, it lasts until the end of Combat and any relevant wound is healed.

  • Reminder: additional Weapon Damage granted by this Effect does not stack with any other bonus to Weapon Damage. Instead the largest bonus is used.

Activating this artifact causes the wielder to tear off the flesh and blood from the target and recipient and swaps them, as the flesh and blood settles into place with the new hosts.

Tormented from her curse of lycanthropy, Seraphine designed an artifact that she hoped could give away her curse and finally give her tormented soul freedom. Much to her frustration and relief, the curse would not leave her.


Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select two Sapient targets within arm's reach. If a target does not consent to the transfer, you must roll Brawn+Melee at Difficulty 6 to use the effect on them. They can resist by rolling either Body or Mind at Difficulty 6, depending on what you are attempting to transfer to them.

You may choose a single instance of one of the following to transfer between your two targets:

  • A single Battle Scar without the accompanying Injury which caused it
  • A single Injury and any Battle Scars it caused
This Effect cannot be used again on the same target for the next day.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see flesh and ichor being forcefully ripped and placed onto the target with their flesh replacing the lost flesh from the caster.

Whenever you transfer an Injury, it's Severity increases by 1. Whenever you transfer Mind damage or Traumas, the recipient takes an additional Mind damage.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • Does not apply to transfers made through the Forced Exchange enhancement.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Seraphine needed to ensure her artifacts didn't fall into the wrong hands so she devised a way to ensure her holy relics weren't used against her own kind.


This Artifact cannot be broken. If this Artifact is lost and in no one else’s possession, it finds its way back to its true owner during the next Downtime.

By default, the creator of this Artifact is its true owner. The true owner may formally bequeath this Artifact onto another person within arm’s reach, after which they are its true owner. If the true owner dies or is destroyed, their ownership ends. If this Artifact has no true owner, anyone may spend one day attuning to it to become its true owner.

Monster hunters cannot hold or use this Artifact. They take a Severity 1 Injury each Round they touch or possess of the Artifact. It cannot be prevented or healed by any means until one day after they relinquish possession.

If this Artifact is in no one else’s possession, its true owner may Exert their Mind and spend two Actions to bring it to themselves.

This Artifact's true owner must have it with them to have restful sleep. They cannot regain Mind or Source while separated from this Artifact.

  • "Cannot be broken" means that damage cannot render the Artifact's Effects unusable, nor can it cease to be used for its primary mundane purpose, if it has one.

Stock Artifact Crafting Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You get +0 dice to any Mind resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

  • Naturally Resistant: Any time you make a Mind resistance roll, the individual who you are resisting must Exert their Mind, or your resistance succeeds automatically.
  • Clash Of Wills: If you fail to fully resist an Effect, your Outcome is considered to be 0.

  • These bonuses apply only to Mind rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to Trauma rolls or self-control rolls.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are wearing this Artifact.

You get +2 dice to any Body resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

  • Survivor: You are immune to all non-Alien diseases.
  • All Brawn No Brain: You suffer a -2 dice penalty on Mind resistance rolls.

  • These bonuses apply only to Body rolls made to resist Effects and other supernatural phenomena. They do not apply to other contexts such as attacks made while under the Creature Transformation Effect.
