Dr. Freeman is an artist of flesh. During surgery, he may alter a patient's appearance at will.
Exert your Mind (unless you are disguising the target to look like a specific person and use that person's body parts as fuel) and spend a minute. You must use up a section of skin in order to activate this Effect.
You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts until you either activate a new disguise, or choose to end the effect.
The new appearance may have a different sex, age, and race to your own, and you may alter height by up to a foot and your weight by 50%. Your disguise may directly mimic the appearance of a specific individual. You cannot alter your clothes. You may add inhuman features to your disguise. Your disguise can alter your smell, DNA, and other aspects that are not perceivable via human senses. This does not conceal you against investigative Effects. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.
You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.
You may Exert your Mind (unless you are disguising the target to look like a specific person and use that person's body parts as fuel) and spend a minute to apply a disguise to a target. The target can Resist your attempt. The disguise lasts until you choose to end the Effect and counts as a Battle Scar. All the same restrictions on the disguise’s appearance apply.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see facial and skin transplant.
The eyes of the phoenix reflect the sins of those who look upon them, burning it into their mind with torturous intensity.
Exert your Mind (unless you get a creature you are grappling to confess a sin they have committed) and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within arm's reach. Roll Brawn + Brawl at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically and their Outcome is 0.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes Mind damage equal to the Contested Outcome. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target will gain a fear of God (and Billy) as a Trauma. This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the target's eyes burn with celestial fire, along with their mouth.
Danielle grabs a fallen tree and deadlifts it, muscles bulging as sweat begins to accumulate on her brow. Her shoulders broaden as her height increases by an inch and blood vessels pop along her arms and legs.
She throws the stump down just as a bear lunges for her. The maw and claws of the creature tear into her tough clothing... but her skin is left with little more than the white lines of scratched skin. A heavy metal *thunk* comes next as she draws her weapon.
Danielle spends the rest of the day looking for a taxidermist.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Roll Brawn + Athletics at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome + 4 Damage up to a maximum of half the total damage from a given attack, the rest of which penetrates through to it’s target. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
The barrier will fall after two hours, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Muscle Gal. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
You become an unnatural and demonic forest beast. A creature not meant to live in this world, suited and adapted to it's hunting grounds.
Wick gained this form when he sought out a demonic creature within the woods, he made a deal- give his flesh in return for power. This body is his gateway into the deeper occult, marking him eternally and irreversibly.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Your skin turns stark white and your head is replaced by an empty-eyed deer skull. Your feet are now hooved and antlers reside on your head. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Creature when targeted. Your Dexterity is increased by 1.
Your body is adapted to Hiding. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to Hiding.
While in Thick forestry, heat, cold, pressure, and other atmospheric hazards do not affect you, and dangerous local flora and fauna will not bother you unless you give them a reason.
You may make a +2 Weapon Damage Sharpened Teeth attack without additional equipment.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Paranoia.
You cannot be mistaken for a normal human. You cannot always use standard human clothes, equipment, vehicles, and facilities, and when you can, you suffer an increased Difficulty.
Jacob’s prison pocket has now became much more useful. He can store much more in his prison pocket and he can now suck in and suck things from a distance away into his mouth.
Spend an Action to activate.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within 30 feet of you to your stash. You may only stash targets which are not possessed by someone else, and are freestanding and unattached.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
The flesh starts to painfully flay from Penny’s arm, forming globs of fat and pools of blood and suspending them in the air, forming a mangled shape in the air that is webbed together by strings of muscle. Relative to this, your other powers seem sterile and gothic, but this, this visceral Lovecraftian nightmare, is truly a symptom of your ever declining sanity.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Make a Trauma roll when you activate this Effect.
You can interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Lasts for the next hour. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 4 in place of your Brawn rating, a Mental Agility of 1 in place of your Dexterity, and otherwise use your own Attributes and Abilities.
Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:
EzFake is an app that appears on any cell phone the influencer holds as long as they are holding it. The influencer need only make a selection and focus their will to project a lifelike forgery into the world in front of them. It may be an object, a creature, or even a specific person, and they can speak and make sounds as well.
The Influencer gets ready to film, and focuses fully on getting a good shot. After all, no video doctoring software can compete with a real life forgery which can be filmed from any number of directions by anyone's camera and appear legitimate.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: open up the app on your cell phone, make your selection, and prepare to film. Select a target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use cell phone camera to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted. Choose an illusion to generate, which can be no larger than a person.
The chosen illusion is generated at your target, and it will remain in place as long as you maintain Concentration or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their hearing, smell, and sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You may create a replica of a specific being or Object, though it is still limited by what you do or do not know about the subject.
Anyone who touches the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion and can choose to perceive it or not at will.
The illusion will remain fixed to its initial target, and can only change locations if the initial target is mobile in some way. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.
By slowing the hands of one of their watches, the time-traveler may interrupt and slow a target's movement through time. The target appears to be moving in slow motion for the duration.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. You must actively and obviously use a watch or clock to activate this Effect. Roll Intellect + Science at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target will suffer a dice penalty equal to the Outcome for the next 2 Rounds. Dice pools may be reduced all the way down to 0 by this penalty. This breaks Concentration.
You may activate this Effect as a Reaction to contest any Action a valid target is taking, reducing their Outcome by your own. Your command has no impact beyond disrupting their Action.
Nature is the beastmaster's domain. While in the wilds, they can climb trees and cliffs with ease and dash through dense underbrush that anyone else would need a machete to navigate.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations.
You only gain the benefits of this effect if you are in an area without a human building within 300 feet.
Come one, come all! Stand in amazement and behold as the Fire Eater consumes a flame as if it were cotton candy! Gasp with fright as they breathe a plume of fire a great distance! And yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is quite dangerous.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: perform a fire-breathing trick. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you take a Severity-4 Injury as the fire burns your throat. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 3 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
The spy is able to transform an ordinary ballpoint pen into a monitoring device that is inconspicuous enough to blend in to most settings, but advanced enough to allow 360 degree surveillance as well as audio capture, which is sent to their smartphone.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 10 feet. You must actively and obviously use a ballpoint pen to activate this Effect.
You place a ward, which is fixed to a target Object that can be moved and repositioned. You can hear and see through the ward as though you were standing at its location. You may have at most 1 wards active at once.
The ward requires Concentration to monitor, though it will remain active until you deactivate it. The ward can be discovered if someone knows what they are looking for, but is otherwise inconspicuous and cannot be identified as a ward.
