Shelly's hands strike and protect with the righteous fury of a mother.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in unarmed combat.
+2 dice to rolls for Attacking, Defending, and Clashing without a weapon. Unarmed attacks do +4 Weapon Damage (instead of -1). The target's Armor is fully effective against this damage.
You also gain the following effects:
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0. Lasts three hours.
In a sudden blur of metal and wires, Wren's usual form becomes obscured by panels of metal and purple neon lights faintly glowing. In under 3 seconds, she transforms into a mechanical Dire Wolf, occupying a 10ft by 10ft space. Mechanical growls and grinding gears can be heard as she embodies the animal's form, ready to pounce. Pointed metal panels represent tufts of fur, and there are neon purple lights where the eyes are.
Exert your Mind and spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use Quartz to activate this Effect.
You transform into Dire Wolf for two hours or until you choose to end the Effect. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (excluding Artifacts and Consumables, which you can use), and you cannot use your Active, Targeted, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
While transformed, you are obviously unusual, unnatural, or alien, and the average person will take a special interest in you.
Dominic has developed new implants for his optical nerve. The nanoscale augmentations allow him to tap into the x-ray bands, and with that, he has captured the dream of every super spy throughout time to peer through into the safe, to observe its mechanisms and see beyond.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You may perceive things through Sight within 15 feet of you with perfect clarity as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 30 minutes. You must maintain Concentration to keep up the effect.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is Dominic's pupils dilate. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.
Their body bubbles and swells much faster and more violently than when changing form, but instead of subsiding seems to consciously move away from any form altogether. It looks as though tension in the shape is being released as it drops to the floor in a goopy mess resembling the consistency of pancake batter, with the color resembling a more flushed version of whatever skin color the previous form had. It's never clear whether The Flesh is pushing itself or pulling itself or both at once, the only thing that is clear is it ripples with energy, slightly steaming at room temperature.
Reforming reveals The Flesh for what it is, not a state of released tension, but a taut state of forced formlessness. The original form is visibly exhausted and must rest to recuperate from the intense focus.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into The Flesh for the next minute. You may end the effect early and return to your normal form at will. Your structure must remain relatively contiguous. Observers will view you as an unusual entity moving with a singular purpose.
While in this form, you can squeeze through any gap that is not water-tight.
Damage from standard attacks is halved, but Damage from AOE effects is increased by 1. You may spend an Action to reduce one of your Injuries’ Severity by 2, as long as you obtained the Injury while transformed and the separated pieces could reasonably be rejoined.
You cannot communicate, use equipment, or use Gifts while transformed. Your equipment does not transform with you beyond basic body coverings. Carrying capacity is unaffected.
While transformed, you can make an unarmed attack using Body as your attack roll. The target may contest by dodging or Defending. This attack deals +2 damage.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see the flesh bloating and just... more bloating..
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
You caper in place, limbs jerking and flailing wildly. The mind becomes unmoored. Why is any of this happening? What even *are* you?
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Human target within 20 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically and their Outcome is 0.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes Mind damage equal to the Contested Outcome. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target will gain a new Trauma selected by you (the GM can overrule you at their discretion). This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Frontal Lobe Full Of Worms: You make all Self-Control rolls at +2 difficulty.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Laugh In The Face Of Danger: Whenever a fellow contractor gains a Trauma or Battle Scar, roll Self-Control to suppress your uncontrollable case of the giggles.
While transformed, the werewolf's toughened hide provides protection from all manner of attacks, except silver.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are in werewolf form.
You have 4, which reduces incoming damage from all sources of physical attack except silver. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
Any Injury received from Damage that was reduced by this Armor is considered Makeshift Stabilized and will not degrade further, and any Battle Scar caused by them is reduced by 1 level. You may attempt a single Proper Stabilization on such Injuries.
The Ninja is so attuned to the sounds of their surroundings, they may focus their mind to "see" using the subtle acoustic vibrations.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way.
It's true the mad scientist is one of the greatest minds of our generation, that they can solve any puzzle or riddle. However, no one wants to spend time with them.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Intellect rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
You also gain the following effects:
The Necromancer temporarily assumes the form of their own corpse, complete with maggots, spilled entrails, and exposed bone. They cannot move while transformed, but their empty eye sockets see as well as ever.
Exert your Mind and Spend an Action.
You transform into your own corpse for one minute. While transformed, you may control the functioning of the object you have transformed into. You can perceive your surroundings as normal. You can be targeted as a Non-Living, Sapient Object.
If you are damaged while transformed, the damage is realized when you return to normal. If you are damaged before you transform, your inanimate form will appear partially damaged.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
The Doctor examines their patient and gives a standard medical checkup, asking them questions, nodding to themselves, and muttering arcane medical jargon. The examination reveals an extraordinary amount of detail about any medical issues suffered by the patient.
Spend one minute. Select a Sapient target or a Creature within arm's reach. You must actively converse with the individual in question for one minute in order to gather any information. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Medicine at Difficulty 6. The target may Resist.
You learn all the following information about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
