The Psychic settles into a deep focus, their mind ignites in a pillar of invisible psionic flames that burn the targets mind. Illuminating their inner-most thoughts.
The gift of the Memetic Torch was discovered by Xavier Charlemagne before his first contract. He was reading a few philosophy books, near ancient things from philosophers only few even bother to remember. They talked about how there was another layer of reality above theirs. In which existed their true selves, where their thoughts, memories and ego all held physical weight and could interact with each other. This fascinated them, and this sent him down a rabbit hole far greater then he ever anticipated. It inspired his goal to establish a psionic hive-mind made of the collective egos of all of humanity melded together in this secondary reality so that all can be one. He pushed his mind to the limits trying to harness this esoteric realm, eventually he discovered that by intertwining his own personality so deeply with another he can, with great control of his emotions, burn two minds together, welding them for a brief period. In this linking of minds he discovered how to raid and burn parts of other egos into himself. His first step into achieving the divine unity he so desires.

You may ask specific questions about their memory - “what is their computer password,” “What were they doing at 4:00PM yesterday,” etc - but you cannot get answers to broad, analytical questions like “are they a good person?” or “what are their plans for the future?”
Each question takes as long as it takes to answer to read. When replaying a full memory, it is replayed in double time.
