Community Passive Gifts

You gain the following benefits as long as you are powered-up and you are engaged in unarmed combat.

+2 dice to rolls for Attacking, Defending, and Clashing without a weapon. Unarmed attacks do +2 Weapon Damage (instead of -1).

You may Defend against melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks from any range and Clash with those in range of your Attacks. Attacking materials like steel or spikes will not Damage you unless it has an Effect that does so.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Body Slam: If you move and then make a successful attack against a target with a Brawn rating less than or equal to yours, if your target was closer than the full distance you could have moved, you may knock them back the excess movement distance and choose whether or not to follow them.

  • Unlike the Ability Brawl, this Effect does not affect small weapons such as knives.

There is a concept buried deep in Chinese Han aristocratic culture of a "Huntlord": a rough translation of what was essentially a demonized mythology of the Mongol Man.

We see Huntlords in typical media in Mulan: in the form of the Khan, we also see them in Kraven from DC, and Draven from League. The Huntlord is a scary sadist of a man, hairy and brutal, showy and unhumble: everything the Han despised and demonized into legend.

You gain the following benefits as long as you gain "The Hunger: Qi (You must consume the souls of living beings, through consuming them.)".

You are permanently and visibly transformed: Sharp features, claw-marked scars, quick-growing mane.. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Creature when targeted. Your Dexterity is increased by 2, your Perception is increased by 2, and your Charisma is increased by 1.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Lycanthrophy.

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Delusions of Grandeur.

  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Gardening Tools.

+2 dice to all rolls with Gardening Tools. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Gardening Tools.

You also gain the following effects:

  • Dismember: If one of your attacks causes a Battle Scar, you may choose for it to be some form of dismemberment, depending on the Severity of the Injury you caused.
  • Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding more than one melee weapon, you may Attack with all using the highest Weapon Damage, plus 1 for each additional weapon. If you reserve a weapon, any Clash or Defend roll you make is -1 Difficulty, and mob penalties are ingored.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is increased by 25 feet.

If your last Action was used for an all-out sprint or you are already accelerated, you may spend an Action to accelerate without a roll, adding 100 feet/Round (not affected by your speed bonus) to your sprint speed, to a max of an extra 300 feet/Round. As long as you stay at these speeds, you may use this distance per Round as your Free Movement.

Any terrain you traverse while accelerated must be passable by a standard vehicle at similar speeds. Stopping, turning sharply, or decelerating more than 100 feet/Round must be performed as an Action. Failing to decelerate with an Action (whether because of an obstacle, sudden unfavorable terrain, an Injury, or other event) counts as a tumble or catastrophic vehicle collision as per the vehicle rules.

Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Compulsive Liar.

  • The time reduction on non-Movement Actions applies only to the parts of actions when your personal speed is a factor,: pouring water or smoking a steak are not affected, but constructing a shelter or picking a lock would be. The GM will determine how much the total time is reduced based on how relevant personal speed is to the task.
  • 100 feet/Round is approximately 22 mph.
  • Any Encumbrance penalty to your movement still applies, but you do not suffer from any sort of exhaustion.
  • Damage from a collision depends on your speed at the time, as well as what you hit. GM's discretion, but generally moving faster than a car on the freeway and hitting a dense, solid object like a wall or a tree should be lethal. Mundane armor will not apply, but any supernatural forms of protection will.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

You are permanently and visibly transformed: Vampire. You are considered to be a Sapient, Non-Living being when targeted..

You no longer age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail.

Your Injuries no longer degrade with time.

You may make a +2 Weapon Damage Claw attack without additional equipment.

The Severity of any Injury caused by Fire is increased by 2.

  • The increase in Injury Severity stacks with any similar effects, such as the Silver Bullets drawback on Regeneration.
