Sav'ant is protected and inured from harm by Karma due to his connection he has with the universe and with himself as "The Red Buddha", because of his spiritual connection he understands how to avoid harm and he understands the right path to take to avoid harm. Karma passively blocks damage under a certain threshold however it is not an infinite shield, Karma only lasts so long until Sav'ant is unable to be protected by it: luck runs out.
