Description

"You and Sav'ant stand in the back row of the rally, a few hundred feet away a man appears to be giving a polarizing speech, as you look over to Sav'ant you notice his hand clench: and thats when the chaos starts! Suddenly, the man giving the speech doubles over as if having a heart attack, immediately attendants rush over but you watch Sav'ant clench his fist again: and this time the man's groans of pain are silenced as the attendants begin to shout "He's dead!". Immediate chaos, the rally devolves into a trample-fest, having already been at the back you two are able to escape rather easily."

Sav'ant has the ability to preform the Mudra of Mind, Body, and Soul, an ability that allows him to exercise his spiritual prowess in order to directly administer harm, pain, and similar internal suffering on those that lack souls/minds strong enough to resist his attack. When Sav'ant attacks the soul in this way, it results in the body itself being harmed: usually manifesting as a Heart Attack or a similar form of liver failure: as the body mirrors the soul, in the case of beings that do not possess souls/minds such as rocks or the living dead they simply do not possess, or possess little, soul to defend with. Sav'ant has the ability to use the Mudra of Harm against those that would attack him as well, either using the Mudra of Harm to cause enough pain to them to weaken their attack or simply using the Mudra of Harm to "Counter" their attack by striking/messing with their soul in precedence. This ability isn't obvious, the only tell is that Sav'ant's hand clenches as if crushing something, and the only other tell is the target's immediate reaction to having their mind body and soul struck. This ability is in summary, an attack on the Mind, Body, and Soul.

System

Spend an Action, Exert your Mind, choose a target within 300 feet, and roll Charisma + Occult Difficulty 6. The target may defend by rolling Mind, Difficulty 6 as a Free Action.

Damage dealt equals the difference between your attack roll's Outcome and the defensive roll's (if one was made), plus 2.The target's Armor is Fully Effective.


Enhancements

  • Concealed (Using this Effect is not obvious. Choose a Tell that occurs only when you use the Effect; if-- and only if-- someone suspects that a Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.)
    • Tell - Sav'ant clenches his fist as if crushing something.

  • Beam-o-war (You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.)
  • Cantrip (Activating this Effect has no Exertion cost, but its Gift Cost can never be increased above 2.)

Drawbacks

  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
    • Object - Buddhist Ornamentry
  • Traumatic (You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.)
